Dr Ou MRI Pilot

The purpose of this study is to perform brain scans using a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine on children aged 6 months, 1 year and 2 years. The machine is the same that is used by doctors to see the brain of children who are patients at the hospital. We are trying to see if MRI scans can be done with babies and toddlers without using sedation. We will have you feed and swaddle your child to help them sleep during the scan. The study will be conducted at Arkansas Children’s Nutrition Center and Arkansas Children’s Hospital Department of Radiology. There is one study visit and compensation is provided for participation.

Study Eligibility: Full-term babies aged 6-months, 1-year, and 2-years born to mothers who are over the age of 18.

All research studies require potential participants to be screened. This is simple and conducted over the phone in about 5-10 minutes to learn more about your child’s health and any other pertinent information that relates to the study. If you are interested or would like to find out if your child is eligible, you can give us a call at (501)364-3309 or 866-423-1311.
