Post Doctoral Fellow
- Responsibilities:
- Will be actively involved in projects aimed at understanding the metabolic stress response to burns and in particular, the role of the mitochondrion in burn-induced hypermetabolism.
- Opportunities to participate in ongoing studies aimed at elucidating the impact of diet and lifestyle on mitochondrial function.
- Position will offer training in the fields of metabolic physiology, bioenergetics and nutrition, and the metabolic response to trauma.
- Training in various stable isotope techniques to characterize energy expenditure and substrate metabolism as well as high-resolution respirometry to study bioenergetics will also be provided.
Post Doctoral Fellow
- Responsibilities:
- To study the maternal role in programming of offspring metabolism with a special emphasis on adipose tissue development.
- Laboratory-based research of animal experiments, metabolic phenotyping, in vivo functional assays and in vitro cell culture studies, next-generation sequencing, bioinformatics and microbiome analyses.
