Research Laboratories
Our laboratories reflect the diverse interests and expertise of our scientists. Together, the ACNC research labs allow us to pursue questions important to maternal/child health from a “holistic” viewpoint that takes all the body’s systems into account alongside environmental and family variables. Areas of particular interest include fuel metabolism and body composition, brain function and neurodevelopment, infant and childhood nutrition, epigenetics and genomics, gut microbiome-host interactions, cardiovascular function, plus liver, muscle and bone health.
