Arkansas Active Kids

The Arkansas Active Kids study is a short-term study to determine how physical activity affects children’s health. We are looking for kids ages 7-10 at all activity levels to participate in a variety of physical activity tests, including strength, balance and endurance. We will also take some body composition measurements, including a blood draw. The parents will also complete some questionnaires about the child’s activity level and eating habits. Each child will wear an activity monitor for a week and will do a urine and stool collection.

The visit at the center will take around six hours and compensation is $125, $75 in the form of gift card will be provided after the in person study visit, and a $50 check will be send through the mail after all study materials have been returned.
